Claudiu Teodorescu

Claudiu has over 20 years of experience in cybersecurity with expertise in computer forensics, Windows internals, Malware reversing, Threat Landscape, and Program Analysis to name a few. Claudiu co-founded Binarly, a cybersecurity startup focused on firmware security. He has been a frequent speaker at conferences such as BlackHat, Defcon, ReCon, DerbyCon on different cybersecurity topics and a BlackHat trainer for the Special Topics of Malware Analysis course.
Claudiu started his career as a Software Engineer at eEye Digital Security, one of the first cybersecurity startups. Next, he held Principal Engineer and later Development Manager positions at Guidance Software, working on EnCase forensic toolkit. As a Sr. Reverse Engineer in FLARE team at FireEye, Claudiu has participated in multiple APT campaigns and reversed several Windows Kernel components (Windows AppCompat, RAM Compression, WMI) leveraged by analyzed malware for persistence/execution. Next, Claudiu joined Cylance as a Research Scientist and later held the Director of Threat Hunting & Intelligence position.
